The construction of a national memorial to commemorate the victims of the Boeing accident in Donbas started in the Netherlands, reports the NOS.
The complex is planned to be completed before the third anniversary of the crash - July 17, 2017. It will be located near Veyfheizen city and consist of 298 trees, each of which will remind of the victims of the tragedy. The monument "Grief" will be in the middle with length of 25 meters with engraved names of the victims.
Before the "Grief" special installation will be place with a form of an eye, which will illuminate the wall with the "rays of the rising sun." The author of the monument is a Dutch sculptor Ronald Vesterheys.
The total cost of the project, according to the fund "Tragedy MN17" is 1.5 million euros.
Earlier it was reported that UN planed to establish an international tribunal on the MN17 crash. The draft resolution voting is scheduled on July 29, 2015.
