European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is self-isolating after being in close contact with someone who later tested positive for Covid-19. She announced this on her Twitter page.

"I’ve been informed that I participated in a meeting last Tuesday attended by a person who yesterday tested positive for COVID-19. In accordance with regulations in force, I’m therefore self-isolating until tomorrow morning. I’ve tested negative on Thursday & am tested again today" Ursula von der Leyen wrote.

As it was reported earlier, tomorrow, on October 6, Brussels will host the first bilateral summit of the EU with a partner country that will be held in Brussels in the traditional "live" format since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ukrainian delegation to the summit will be headed by President Volodymyr Zelensyy, the EU delegation will be headed by President of the European Council Charles Michel and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

On the sidelines of the summit, it is planned to sign a number of financial agreements between Ukraine and the EU within the European Neighborhood Instrument, particularly, to support eastern Ukraine, civil society, and climate change mitigation.
