The hundreds of coffins with the dead are illegally transported through the border with the annexed Crimea annually. The issue is not regulated. The permanent representative of Ukraine’s president in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Borys Babin reported about this problem at the briefing in Kyiv on Thursday, as Interfax-Ukraine agency reports.

“The transportation of the coffins and urns with the deceased is not regulated,” Borys Babin is cited as saying.

According to him, relevant bodies discussed this issue and came up with an algorithm, which allows legal transfer of such cargo through the administrative border with the annexed peninsula.

However, Babin states that the position of customs service is controversial.
