As a result of clashes between protesters and police officers near the building of the Ukrainian Parliament, over 100 people were detained, Aide to the Interior Minister of Ukraine Zorian Shkiryak wrote on Facebook.

“So far, 101 people were either detained or invited for giving testimony. Among the wounded, four law enforcers and a few “peaceful protesters”. They require first aid,” Shkiryak said.

“During the search, over 10 objects have been found so far that look like F-2 and RGD-5 combat grenades, bottles with petrol (Molotov cocktails), metal sticks (for attacking police officers), knives, etc. Expertise will be conducted for establishing all the circumstance and the origin of these objects,” he added.

As we reported earlier, clashes between the protesters and law enforcers occurred this morning. The police came to the camp of the protesters to conduct an investigation at the protesters' camp, according to the decision of the court.

The police officers started the investigation in the protesters’ camp under two criminal procedures: the events of Feb. 27 near the Parliament, when 14 police officers were wounded, and the events near the October palace in 2017, when police officers were also wounded. As to the events of Feb. 27, a few protesters were informed about suspicion.
