On December 17, 17 police officers suffered and 26 people were detained in the result of the clashes near the Verkhovna Rada as 112 Ukraine reported citing Kyiv National Police Head Andriy Kryshchenko.

“Some people who provoked police, threw stones, attacked with prepared items, 26 people were detained. They stay in the district department, all the information we possess is analyzed: video, information from witnesses. 17 police officers suffered as of now,” Kryshchenko said.

Besides, Kyiv National Police Head noted that the law enforcers work with the detainees to provide the qualified legal assessment of their actions.

“The criminal proceeding due to the resistance to the police officer is opened,” he added.
