On November 17, after MPs failed to adopt the bill on cash registers, clashes broke out near the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine between the police and businessmen who tried to break into the parliament building. This was reported in the Telegram-channel of Strana.ua.
According to the source, after the failure to adopt the bill on cash registers, entrepreneurs made an attempt to breakthrough in the parliament building. However, the police are still holding back the onslaught of people.
At the same time, police stated that no detentions have been carried out near the Verkhovna Rada yet. Law enforcement officers also call on citizens to stop illegal actions near the parliament building.
“Law enforcement officers are carrying out preventive explanatory work with citizens and urging participants not to resort to provocations and stop disturbing public order. In order to restore law and order, law enforcers immediately intervened and pushed the protesters away. As a result, there were short-term clashes. The information about the victims is being clarified,” the statement reads.
Earlier, it was reported the businessmen are protesting near the Verkhovna Rada and Hrushevskoho Street is blocked. It was reported that the main demand of the protesters was the abolition of total fiscalization in Ukraine, except for a group of excisable goods. One of the requirements is the abolition of weekend quarantine.
