As a result of the clash that took place today under the building of Verkhovna Rada, two law enforcers were injured and nine people were detained. People's Deputy Anton Herashchenko said this at the parliament.
Herashchenko said that the protesters under Verkhovna Rada are supporters of the former head of the Odesa State Reginal Administration and the former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili. They tried to set fire to the tires, according to him.
"Just now, the organization of Saakashvili Movement of New Forces organized a provocation at the Verkhovna Rada: tires were thrown in front of the building and they tried to set them on fire. When police officers did not let him do it, they threw stones at them, 15 minutes ago two police officers were injured. At the moment, 9 people who have made a provocation, possibly that for the money of Russians, they are detained and will be forwarded to the bodies of internal affairs," Herashchenko said.
As the People's Deputy Iryna Gerashchenko later said, the soldiers of the National Guard were injured and, according to them, stones at them were thrown also by deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.
"As the National Guard officers themselves say, among those who were throwing stones at them today, there were again People's Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada. Excuse me, please, to throw stones at the National Guards who returned yesterday from the second front line, this is a crime," Iryna Gerashchenko said.
As it was reported earlier the Verkhovna Rada intends to decide Tuesday on the issues of social protection of servicemen and instruct the committee to prepare for the urgent consideration a draft law on the Anti-Corruption Court.
