Kyiv City State Administration signed a memorandum on construction of fourth subway line in cooperation with Chinese consortium. This was reported by the press service of city administration.
Memorandum regarding cooperation on the construction of the fourth metro line in Kyiv city was signed with the Chinese consortium, which is composed of China Railway International Group and China Pacific Construction Group.
The consortium is to serve as a managing partner. Particularly, specialists from Chinese side will research the current state of realization of work. As it is noted, they will consider technical details, a level of financial resources and legal way of final implementation of the project.
According to the memorandum, the consortium can act as a contractor. The Chinese company will assist the Kyiv City State Administration in fund-raising from Chinese financial institutions, which would allow to promote greater cooperation with the government of China and realize major infrastructure projects.
As it is known, the strategy of Kyiv development until 2025 provides for the construction of a metro line from Podil to Troieshchyna and wound cost the city $1.2 billion. The approximate number of people to be covered by the new subway line is 350 thousand, according to the strategy.
