China has sent to Ukraine the first batch of CoronaVac vaccine against coronavirus produced by the Chinese company Sinovac Biotech. This is stated by the Embassy of Ukraine in China.

"The first batch of Covid-19 vaccines has been sent to Ukraine from China," the statement said.

It is noted that today the first batch of 1.915 million doses of CoronaVac vaccines of Chinese Sinovac Biotech ordered by Ukraine was sent to Ukraine. The first batch of the vaccine is 700,000 doses.

Earlier, at the end of December 2020, Ukraine paid an advance payment of 34.5 million dollars for the future delivery of 1.9 million doses of CoronaVac under an agreement between DP Medical Procurement and Lekhim private company. The total number of purchased doses of the vaccine (ie 1.9 million doses) should be delivered to Ukraine by May 31.
