Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko vaccinated against coronavirus. He was vaccinated by CoviShield, as Ukraine 24 reported.

“We set an example that we did not receive something else and we will not bring for ourselves something else. I show publicly why it is necessary to get vaccinated; the vaccine is safe and effective,” Lyashko said.

He explained that he vaccinated in public to ‘avoid cunning’ around the vaccination in Ukraine. Moreover, during the vaccination, the Chief Sanitary Doctor asked to show on camera that it is the CoviShield vaccine and it is vaccinated by it.

After the vaccination, Lyashko stated he feels good. He got the vaccination at Kaharlyk hospital, Kyiv region.

As we reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was vaccinated against coronavirus during a working trip to the Donbas conflict area.

Earlier, Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov got himself vaccinated, too. He became the first among top-rank Ukrainian officials who received their dose of the vaccine. According to the official, such a step is necessary to reduce the number of fake reports and manipulations in terms of the safety and efficiency of the vaccine.
