The Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv Andriy Kryshchenko has submitted a letter of resignation. This was reported by Censor.net, RBC-Ukraine and Vesti.ua.

There is no official statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs yet.

Kryshchenko has held the position of Deputy Chief of the National Police - Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv since December 15, 2015. Prior to that, he headed the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Kharkiv.

On August 4, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Anton Herashchenko from the office of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. He wrote a letter of resignation. Herashchenko was Deputy of the Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
