Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant manually performs radiation monitoring because of massive hackers attacks in Ukraine. The State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management reported that on their website.
“Because of the cyber attack the web-site of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant is not operating. All technological systems of the plant operate as usual. Due to the temporary shutoff of Windows OS, the radiation monitoring of the facilities is performed manually. Automatic radiation control system operates as usual in the exclusion zone,” reads the message.
As we reported earlier, a large-scale cyber attack hit dozens of companies and enterprises across Ukraine today, on June 27.
The cyber attack started at around 11:30 a.m. this morning. The virus is spreading very quickly. It affects computers operating on Windows OS. It restarts and codes itself.
