Chernihiv region will be one of the first regions to receive vaccines for inoculating medical workers against Covid-19. Members of the vaccination team have received appropriate training and are ready to start inoculating, as the country's chief sanitary doctor Viktor Lyashko wrote on his Facebook page.
"Chernihiv region is one of the first to receive vaccines to vaccinate medical workers against Covid-19. Today, I assessed the region's readiness for the start of the vaccination campaign," Lyashko wrote.
The chief sanitary doctor noted that the members of the mobile vaccination team have received appropriate training and are ready to start inoculating. At the start of the campaign, two mobile teams will work, but in the future their number will grow along with the opening of vaccination points.
On February 16, Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov claimed that the vaccination campaign in Ukraine did not begin as scheduled because of transportation problems.
As is known, Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry planned to start the vaccination campaign with the use of two kinds of vaccines, Pfizer/BioNTech and AstraZeneca. Both companies already requested registration of their vaccines in Ukraine.
