In the Cherkasy region there is a difficult situation with the incidence of Covid-19. From October 25, the region may introduce restrictions for the red level of epidemiological danger. Cherkasy governor Oleksandr Skichko reports that on Telegram.
According to him, the region has a high incidence of Covid-19 and already occupies more than half of hospital beds. In the last two weeks, 143 people have died from coronavirus in the region. At the same time, the occupancy rate of hospitals exceeded 50%.
"At this rate, we are confidently stepping into the red zone. And, most likely, the red zone may be already on Monday," Skichko said.
He clarified that shopping malls and restaurants will be banned in the red zone, but only for those who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus.
Skichko called on residents of the region to vaccinate against Covid-19 by Monday, because, as the experience of other regions shows, on the first day of the red zone the vaccination points are full of huge queues.
As it was reported earlier, Kyiv will soon enter the red level of epidemiological danger.
On Friday, October 22, a meeting of the City Emergency Situations Commission will take place, which will decide on the introduction of additional quarantine restrictions as Kyiv City State Administration.
