Cherkasy region may enter "red" zone from Monday

From Monday, November 8, Cherkasy region may impose restrictions provided for the "red" level of epidemiological danger.  This was announced by the head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration Oleksandr Skichko on his Facebook page.

"According to two indicators out of three, we exceed the permissible norms. This is the rate of detected cases of infection and the level of hospitalizations in the region. Accordingly, they are 26.6% (at a rate of less than 20%) and 60.4% (at a rate of less than 60%). If the indicators continue to grow tomorrow, in three days we will be in the "red" zone," Skichko said.

It should be noted that 718 new cases of coronavirus infection were diagnosed in Cherkasy region during the past 24hrs. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of confirmed cases in the region is 104,620.

Meanwhile, from November 8, Volyn region will enter the "red" zone of adaptive quarantine. The corresponding decision was made by the the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies, minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchynov reports on Telegram page.

As of this morning, six regions, including Volyn, were in the "orange" quarantine zone. There are only three in the "yellow" zone - Zakarpattia, Kirovohrad, Ternopil. All other regions in the "red" zone.
