Herbicides, which contaminated Ros River in Vinnytsia region did not affect the condition of water, as Oleksandr Tereshchuk, the Chairman of Regional State Administration, told 112 Ukraine.
“Experts believe that herbicides did not influence the condition of water. I summoned the respective commission. I don’t have information about dead fish in Kyiv region. This is one of the criteria which shows that either herbicides did not reach that place or did not dissolve,” the message reads.
As it was reported, another commission was over, certain measures on water supply were planned. The result of the expertise carried out by one of the institutes will be ready soon.
Under the preliminary information, herbicides which were there will dissolve within three hours. But this will be revealed after the expertise.
“Then, we will summon the commission and we will work. We have just talked with the Mayor of Bila Tserkva. Water is being delivered, people have water, but we have to work on this. Water is being supplied from BilaTserkva region, people have water reserves for 24 hours,” Tereshchuk added.
The problem of scarcity of water touched Myronivsky and Boguslavsky districts. There are reserves.
The commission decided to limit swimming in rivers, fishing and other events.
