Chemical attack in Syria: 150 casualties reported

The volunteers informed about 150 died and 1000 injured people as a result of the attack in East Ghouta

Around 150 people were gas poisoned and died. The gas was spread in Douma, the last city in the East Ghouta, which is under the rebels’ control, as BBC reported referring to the rescuers.

The White Helmets, a voluntary rescue service, punished the pictures of the dead. The representatives of the service stated that more than 1000 people were injured as a result of the chemical attack and 150 deaths are confirmed.

As we reported earlier, the airpower of Bashar al-Assad, the President of Syria, conducted an attack in the East Ghouta, not far from Damascus, which lead to the destruction and victims among the civilians. Earlier, it was reported that around 16 local residents, two of them were children, died as a result o the attack.

Russia has vetoed the resolution on the investigation of the cases of chemical weapon usage in Syria in the UN Security Council twice. According to the data of the French Government, the chemical weapon has been used in Syria 130 times in 2012 – 2017.
