Chair of President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held a telephone conversation with the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States Victoria Nuland. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President.
The interlocutors discussed the details of the forthcoming visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States at the invitation of US President Joe Biden.
It is noted that Nuland assured Yermak of Washington's unwavering support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as in issues of the implementation of Minsk agreements on a peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas.
In his turn, Yermak informed about the implementation of reforms in Ukraine and the steps to implement the European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of our state.
At the same time the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States noted the importance of continuing the ongoing reforms to strengthen Ukraine, in particular reforms of corporate governance and anti-corruption reforms, and assured of the United States’ support for these efforts.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden invited his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to visit the White House. Zelensky thanked Biden and replied that he would perhaps come to the States as soon as next month.
