The Spanish Cervantes Institute can be opened in Kyiv. It became known in the result of the meeting between President Petro Poroshenko and Foreign Minister of Spain Alfonso María Dastis Quecedo that took place in the Administration of the President of Ukraine.
‘The sides agreed on the opening of the Cervantes Institute in Kyiv and the opening of the Ukrainian Institute in Madrid in the context of the deepening of the inter-human relation between two countries’, the message at the website of the president reported.
It is specified that the sides emphasized the significant potential for the deepening of the cooperation between Ukraine and Spain in the trade, economy and investment spheres.
The Cervantes Institute is the governmental establishment of Spain that was founded in 1991 under the guise of the Foreign Ministry. The main aim of it is the teaching of the Spanish language and the spreading of the country culture. The centers of the Institute work on 5 continents. Totally, there are 55 institutes in the world.
