Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Grytsak informed about the opening of a situational centre of ensuring cybersecurity, according to the press service of the SBU.
The system of detecting and countering cyber incidents and laboratory of computer forensics are the key capabilities of the SBU-based centre. They will allow preventing cyber attacks, establishing their origin, analyzing them for countering.
It is noted that the centre is ready to defend not only the critical infrastructures objects and state establishments, but also businesses, both big and small.
The SBU received the equipment of the centre in the framework of implementing the first stage of the agreement on fulfilling the trust fund Ukraine - NATO on cybersecurity.
SBU Head Vasyl Grytsak also noted that in 2017, the service recorded and countered over 50 cyber attacks of different level of strength. The laters attacks on informational centres and critical infrastructures object of Ukraine are of Russian origin.
