Center for counteraction to disinformation to start work next week, - President’s Office Head

Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak announced the opening of the Center on counteraction disinformation. According to him, it will start its work the next week as 112.ua.tv reported.

The Head of the President’s Office noted that the Center on counteraction disinformation will be created on the basis of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).

“Soon, the international center will start its work and it will be created on the basis of the NSDC…I am sure that the next week, such a center will start its work,” he said.

Besides, Yermak assured that the battalion of internet trolls, fake newsmakers and propaganda ammunition are used in the information war against Ukraine.

“Today, the world becomes a powerful weapon that affects not the body but brain and heart of a person. The information war is one of the aspects of the hybrid war,” Yermak added.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that soon the center on counteraction disinformation would be launched in Ukraine

According to the president, in the future, this center should become the international hub for counteraction disinformation and propaganda all over the world.

Earlier, Minister for Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko revealed the essence of the concept of the Center on counteraction disinformation that was called by the journalists 'the ministry of propaganda’.
