Celebration of weddings affect Covid-19 spread, - Health Ministry

The mass celebrations during weddings facilitate the increase of a new number of infection cases with coronavirus as PavlovskyNews Telegram channel reported, citing Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov.

“In one of the regions, where three weddings were celebrated, this area was immediately put on the red zone (according to the rate of coronavirus spread). It is just blazing, as far as the number of infected goes,” Stepanov stated.

In the middle of June, the Health Ministry reported that the Ukrainians may celebrate weddings in food and drink venues but with the observation with security measures. It is noted that the Ukrainian are allowed to celebrate weddings at the restaurants and cafes in a number of up to 10 people.

As of August 13, 1,592 new cases of coronavirus infection registered in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the pandemic of Covid-19, 86,140 people got infected; 46,216 patients recovered; 1,992 people died and 37,932 patients are still infected.

As we reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved new criteria of classification of the regions on quarantine zones. According to innovations, the average number of a PCR method and ELISA method testing should make not less than 24 testings per 100,000 of the population during the last seven days.
