A driver of Dacia Logan ran into ‘Karavan’ hypermarket in Kharkiv on November 16 as 057 reported citing the local police.

The car continued to run when it was in the hypermarket.

‘Preliminary, the driver was on drugs at the moment of the car crash’, Karyna Kurbanova, the spokeswoman of Kharkiv patrol police reported.

No casualties reported yet. The police composed two administrative protocols towards the driver. The crime scene investigation police work at the crime scene.

As we reported earlier a Lexus ran over a group of pedestrians in Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine, on Wednesday evening.  Alyona Zaitseva who drove the Lexus violated the road traffic, crashing into Volkswagen Touareg driven by Gennady Dronov which threw her car towards the pavement. Both drivers survived, but Lexus ran over a group of eleven people. Five pedestrians received lethal injuries; another six were taken to a hospital with injuries of various degrees of severity.

Zaitseva was detained for two months without a right for bailment. The court revoked her driver’ license and arrested both cars that participated in the accident. Moreover, the court arrested the second driver for 42 days without the right to bail on November 8.
