The attack at the car of first assistant of Ukraine’s President Serhiy Shefir was held with the bullets made in Hungary as First Deputy Interior Minister Yevhen Yenin reported.
“It is 7.62 caliber. We see specialized bullets. Such bullets are not produced in Ukraine and in fact, they were almost never used in Ukraine. It is the production of Hungary. We try to establish the possible timeframes of they import to Ukraine and their production. We do not exclude they were smuggled in Ukraine,” Yenin said.
According to him, the law enforcers try to establish how Hungarian bullets were taken to Ukraine.
Yenin added that the unknown did single shots. Totally, the law enforcers found about 20 shells.
As we reported, today, on September 22, an unknown shooter opened fire on the car of Serhiy Shefir, first assistant of President of Ukraine. The incident occurred near Lisnyky village, Kyiv region. The official did not suffer any injuries. His driver, on the other hand, was wounded in the assault. The driver of Serhiy Shefir drove to the village of Lisnyky on his own and parked his car. An ambulance was called after that.
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venedyktova reported that the criminal case has been opened due to an attack at the car of first assistant of President of Ukraine Serhiy Shefir with preliminary qualification as the attempted murder of two and more people. The law enforcers have presented three main versions of the attempt.
