A car accident with the minibus with the Hasidim pilgrims on board took place at Kyiv-Odesa highway in Kyiv region. The minibus was supposed to take them from Uman to Boryspil Airport. A citizen of Israel died in the accient as the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reported.
The car accident took place near Chupyra village. A 37-year-old driver operated a Mercedes Sprinter; he transferred 13 passengers.
Preliminary, it is assumed that the driver of the minibus moved on the slow reversal lane and was blinded by the headlamps of the on-coming vehicle.
As a result of it, he turned left to avoid the collision; however, performing this maneuver, he ran into the on-coming bus by the right side of the vehicle and was thrown to the other side of the road on the field.
“As a result of the car accident, a 45-year-old foreigner, who was in the minibus, died. All other passengers have no wound,” the message says.
