The Court a pre-trial restriction for Oleksandr Volkov the driver of Mazda, who was driving a car when a fatal car accident in Kryvyi Rih, in the form of custody for two months without a right for a bail, as 112 Ukraine correspondent reported.

According to the information, Volkov is at the hospital in Kryvyi Rih, he is feeling sick.

“The judges, who were deciding on the pre-trial restrictions, were in Dnipro. Therefore, everything was happening through the Skype-conference, and upon the request of Volkov’s lawyer the session was almost on camera, the journalists were not allowed to be present, when he was giving explanations to the court,” the correspondent said.

Volkov explained that he had health issues but he did not announce the medical diagnosis.

“The Court considered all his explanations, the judge was making the decision for a couple of hours and accepted the prosecutor’s office request concerning two months custody without a right for bail,” the correspondent concluded.

According to him, the Court is deciding when exactly Volkov to be sent to the penal institution regarding his health condition.

There is another option as well – Volkov can stay in hospital under guard.

Earlier, a car accident happened in Kryvyi Rih – Mazda car collided with two buses, one of which belongs to one of the metal manufactures. As a result, nine casualties and 21 injured reported. 15 victims are in the hospital, for now, four of them are in a critical condition.

Due to the catastrophe, the town announced mourning on April 18.

The police established the identities of six dead and detained the driver of Mazda. The driver is suspected of violating the traffic rules for now, which lead to casualties.
