A group of Canadian MPs from the Foreign Affairs Committee will visit Ukraine at the beginning of 2017. It was reported by the press service of Vice-Prime Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

One of the main topics of the visit will be the "gender issue, greater participation of women in politics and parliamentary."

Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze also discussed position of Canada towards Russia and sanctions against Russian Federation for violation of the international law with the minister of immigration, citizenship and refugees of Canada John McCallum and Canadian MPs. McCallum assured of further support from Canada.

In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of simultaneous ratification of the Free Trade Agreement by the parliaments of both countries.
