Canada simplifies visa requirements for Ukrainians, - embassy

Simplification concerns the confirmation of the financial status of the applicant

The Canadian authorities have reduced the list of documents needed to obtain a long-term visa to Canada. Such an explanation was given by the embassy of the country, reports Ukrinform.

This way, when applying for a Canadian visa, Ukrainian applicants who have been in Canada in the past ten years or while they have a valid U.S. visa and can prove it (show seals of the border crossing or the visa itself), then they do not have to prove their satisfactory financial status.

This became possible due to Ukraine's accession to the global CAN + program, of which a number of other countries are participants, including Mexico, India and China.

The new amendments came into force on November 1 and apply to all Ukrainian applicants who apply at visa centers in Ukraine or online. However, their action does not apply to working and student visas. It also will not change the price of applying for a visa to Canada.
