Canadian Royal Navy is delegating 14 representatives to Ukraine to participate in the Sea Breeze-2017 military drills in the Black Sea. This was announced by Rear Admiral John Newton, commander of the Canadian maritime forces of the Atlantics, reports Ukrinform.
“Sea Breeze-2017 emphasizes the commitment of Canadian military fleet to security of the Black Sea. Canadian marines and staff officers will work with like-minded partners to improve our collective ability to draw an accurate picture of marine activities in the region,” Newton said.
Canada’s Defense Ministry specified the delegation will consist of divers and their assistants, as well as staff officers.
As it was reported earlier Sea-Breeze 2017 drills started in Odesa. Ukrainian marines and their international colleagues will train to perform on NATO standards.
