The Canadian province of Ontario has condemned Russian aggression in Ukraine and expressed support for Ukrainian people.
This was announced by the Premier of Canada's largest province Kathleen Wynne during her speech in the Parliament, reports Ukrinform agency.
"We continue to condemn the aggression of Putin's regime against Ukraine and remain determined to help maintaining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. We share the pain of Ukrainians, who protect the independence of Ukraine today, defending the same values that their ancestors have been developing in Canada during the last century: freedom, justice, human rights, "she said.
Wynne expressed the pride of "humanitarian support that our government is giving to the people of Ukraine who protect their democracy."
Earlier it was reported that Canada will give $8 million to Ukraine for police development in 2017. Most of these funds are to be used for training of Ukrainian officers by experts and trainers of Canadian police.
