Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers is concerned about the decision of Kyiv Administrative Court to remove Ulyana Suprun from the office of the acting Healthcare Minister, as the members of the cabinet stated.
“…We are highly concerned about today’s decision of Kyiv Administrative Court on the suspension of Ulyana Suprun. This decision will be appealed in the order established by the law and we will strive for its cancelation in the order established by the law,” the message said.
The government expressed the concern about the unprecedented pressure, which is put by different means to stop “those efforts on the reforming of the healthcare sector assumed by a team of Healthcare Ministry headed by acting Healthcare Minister Ulyana Suprun.”
The implementation of the changes in the healthcare sector took place under the support of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“Exactly this team fulfills the governmental policy, which aims for the implementation of the affordable medications program, overcoming of the corruption schemes in the purchase of the medications, reformation of the primary tier, increase of the remunerations of doctors, implementation of new demands to the quality of the preparation of the health workers, deployment of the cardiothoracic centers’ network. The next step connected with the implementation of free diagnostics, improving the emergency medical assistance system, deployment of the village medicine network. The final aim of all these efforts is the real increase of the quality of the medical service and increase of the remunerations of the health workers,” the message said.
As we reported, Suprun's role as acting health minister was questioned by MP from Radical Party of Lyashko Ihor Mosiychuk. The court explained that such a decision was made as Suprun has dual citizenship. Apart from the Ukrainian one, she also has the U.S. passport. During the conflict at the Heart Institute of world-famous cardiac surgeon Borys Todurov, Suprun tried to intimidate the workers and the management of the medical institution with the help of the far-right C14 organization, included in the American terrorist base.
