The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved Vitaly Klitschko's dismissal as the Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration. Oleksiy Honcharuk stated this during the briefing on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"We applied to the President's Office concerning the dismissal of Klitschko," he said.
As we reported, Vitally Klitschko stated he had not had the conflict with Head of the President’s Office Andriy Bohdan. The main task for him now is to promote the interests of Kyiv citizens.
“I get no quarrel (with Bohdan – ed.), I protect exclusively the rights of Kyiv citizens to choose the mayor who has to report to the residents of the city, who is liable to them..." the city Mayor stated.
Earlier Kyiv's Mayor met with President of the World Bank Group David Malpass who had arrived in Ukraine on August 23. According to Klitschko, the meeting was about the importance of continuing the decentralization reform in Ukraine and strengthening the local government.
