The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated funds to provide centralized oxygen supply to the bed stock of health care facilities that provide inpatient care to patients with acute respiratory disease Covid-19. The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“Given the rapid spread of coronavirus and the increasing workload in hospitals, the government continues to boost the medical system. Today we decided to redistribute $15 million to provide the bed stock with a centralized oxygen supply,” said Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.
According to him, 90,000 beds were provided for patients with coronavirus in Ukraine. As of now, 45,000 beds are ready, 97% of these are supplied with oxygen.
As it was reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated an additional $7.7 million for additional payments to medical workers who are directly involved in the fight against coronavirus.
