The British police started searches in Cambridge Analytica, which stole personal data of more than 50 million users, as Sky News reported.

According to the journalists, 18 police officers are conducting searches in the company.

Earlier, British Commissioner for Information demanded that the company opened the access to the British office. This request was satisfied by the British Supreme Court on March 23.

Earlier, it became known that Cambridge Analytica, which cooperated with Donald Trump during the elections, harvested information from 50 million Facebook users illegally. This data was used to define political affiliations of voters and to spread political ads.

On the next day, U.S. and British authorities sent a request to receive the details on the incident to the company.

Later, Forbes reported, that Zuckerberg lost $5 billion because of this scandal.
