Boryspil International Airport has fully restored its work after recent cyber-attack that damaged over a thousand of other companies. This was reported by the press service of the airport.
It is noted that the attack has not influenced the work of service systems. Also, all the systems ensuring the work of airport function as usual. Passengers receive information through the central board. The work of the online board on airport’s official website has been fully restored.
“All airport services reacted to the changes of situation in connection with the cyber-attack, we reacted quickly, organized an online broadcast and involved all the communication channels - additional free information lines, the airport Facebook page and others. We got more than 10,000 views on online broadcasting in Youtube. Thanks to this airport managed to avoid disruptions in the work and provide prompt information to passengers. Specialists of the enterprise together with representatives of state institutions study consequences of the attack and measures to prevent them in the future. Technical details of the incident are not disclosed,” said director general of Boryspil airport Pavlo Ryabikin.
Press service added that the company is working according to a special plan, which was prepared six months ago for similar situations after the detection of a similar virus. After that, appropriate measures to ensure enterprise's operation in emergency situations were developed and implemented.
As it was reported earlier Security Service confiscated servers with malicious software used for cyber attacks on Ukraine. SBU reported that with the help of the server equipment, including Ukrainian hosting, the targeted cyber attacks and the affection of the critical structure objects of Ukraine and other countries with malicious software were performed.
