Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service will carry out a preliminary inspection of all the international observersб who are to come to Ukraine during the presidential elections, as Petro Tsyhykal, the Chairman of the service, said during the panel of the Internal Ministry, the press office of the ministry reports.
“One of the defined tasks our service has is to enhance control on the channels of the international connection. This is related to the high number of the international observers, who will come,” he said.
He noted that the border guards will register the international observers out of turn, on a priority basis.
“Each checkpoint will have the copies of the lists of the registered international observers and organizations, which the Central Election Commission provides. The State Border Guard Service is ready to hold the inspection of these people under the departmental data base. There also will be registration of the information and its transfer to the concerned bodies, and its publication,” the Chairman of the service noted.
Tsyhykal added that special attention would be paid to the pro-Russian journalists.
