Ex-military Oleksiy Belko is a danger to society and he should be placed in the remand center as Ukrainian News reported citing the prosecutor.
It is reported that during the last two week Belko stayed in Kyiv and lived in the car. He came to the capital as he was dismissed from the army two months ago and it led to the break up with a girlfriend.
The-ex military though that he was followed all time he lived in Kyiv. He explained that he started the protest in the bridge to attract the attention and stop the surveillance.
Earlier Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov stated that he will personally appeal to the court and demand a minimal punishment for the detainee. Interior Minister wants to bail him.
On September 18, an unknown man stopped in the middle of the Metro bridge in Kyiv and threatened that he would blow it up. The law enforcers qualified case as the preparation for the terrorist act. It turned out that the perpetrator is 42-year-old citizen of Crimea Oleksiy Belko.
Later the law enforcers detained the bomber. Kyiv Police reported that Oleksiy Belko would not be charged with planning a terrorist act.
