Loud blasts and explosive waves that scared Mariupol residents are caused by the scheduled disposal of ammunition conducted by engineer units on the specially designated polygons located near the city. This was announced by the head of the press service of the ATO Yaroslav Chepurny, reports UNN.

“Nothing terrible is happening there (in Mariupol), it’s a scheduled disposal of ammunition conducted by our engineer units. It is happening near Mariupol city on the territory of special polygons, designated for these purposes,” Chepurny said.

Earlier it was reported that Mariupol residents reported of powerful explosions in city center
The blasts can be heard in all parts of the city.
