The meeting of U.S. President Joe Biden and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington will take place on August 31 as Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba reported during the briefing.
“Considering the extension of the elements of the program of the visit, the meeting of the heads of states of Ukraine and the U.S. presidents Biden and Zelensky will take place on August 31,” Kuleba said.
According to him, the extended format is provided, and the tete-a-tete meeting. Besides, Zelensky will visit California State.
The Foreign Minister also added that the events in Afghanistan have not changed the plans of Zelensky’s visit to the U.S.
“The things that take place in Afghanistan now can influence everything. But as of now, we have no indicators that these events negatively influence the preparation and holding of the visit of the president of Ukraine to the United State,” Kuleba noted.
Earlier, it was reported that the U.S. expects the visit of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky to Washington on August 30. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak arrived in the U.S. to prepare for the upcoming visit of Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States.
