As it was reported earlier Belarusian Foreign Ministry said that the country's delegation voted against the new resolution on human rights situation in the annexed by Russia Crimea, because it always votes against any resolutions on individual countries.

According to Shuplyak, Belarus voting against such resolutions does not testify to Minsk lack of heart for the initiators' concern, but an attempt to draw attention not only to the ineffectiveness of such instruments, but also their destructiveness. Instead of such resolutions, the diplomat suggested finding solutions in the course of negotiations and seeking opportunities for rapprochement of positions.
