Belarus suspends oil transit through Ukraine

Belarus suspended transit of Russian oil towards Ukraine due to the absence of reservoirs of “dirty” oil on the territory of the country, as the press office of Belneftekhim concern reported.

“Transit pumping towards Ukraine is irregular and for now they are suspended as there are no reservoirs on the Ukrainian territory for pumping of “dirty” oil in the pipeline,” the company informs.

“According to the new schedule of pumping, its restoration is scheduled on the night on May 19 to May 20,” the message reads.

Oil transit toward Poland is not carried out.

Earlier Belarus has temporarily stopped the export of the light oil products to Ukraine, Poland, and the Baltic States. The reason was the supply of the poor-quality oil from the Russian Federation.

As we reported before, the Russian Federation placed a ban for export of petroleum and petroleum products, including coal, petroleum, and petroleum products to Ukraine.
