The military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus has decreased due to the status of Minsk as a platform for peaceful resolution of the Donbas conflict, as head of State military-industrial committee of Belarus Oleg Dvigalev said, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
“With Ukraine, the cooperation in this sphere has decreased, isn’t fulfilled, as we must understand that Belarus is, first of all, the platform for resolving the conflict (in Donbas). We (the committee) don’t create additional problems and questions,” Dvigalev said.
At the same time, Dvigalev said that cooperation with Russia as to the state defence order has increased compared to 2016, as he told Soiuznoe gosudarstvo. He also called the cooperation with Russia close and effective and noted that Belarusian enterprises participate in Russian military equipment exhibitions.
