114 people suffered from ice-slick in Kyiv over past three days. Natalia Vyshnevska, spokesperson of the Kiev State Administration Health Department said it for 44.ua.
“Over past three days (February 27 – March 1) 114 people suffered because of the ice-slick. 14 among them are children All of them requested medical assistance in first-aid stations,” Vyshnevska said.
Besides, 4 people were hospitalized with hypothermia, one freeze burn case was recorded.
As we reported earlier, On Saturday, March 3, deterioration of weather conditions is again expected in Kyiv: at night and in the morning there will be heavy snow, which, according to the forecast, can drop to 17 cm, wind gusts of 15-18 m/s and ice on the roads.
Due to bad weather the municipal services of Kyiv continue to work in a strengthened regime.
Drivers are again asked not to park cars along roads and in prohibited places, so as not to interfere with snow cleaning. All the interfering cars will be evacuated. Kievans are also asked to give preference to public transport.
It should be mentioned that that bad weather stays in Kyiv for several days already. Yesterday the city stood in large traffic jams, and public transport shuttled without observing the schedule due to a large number of road accidents and snow on the roads.
