Azov crisis: Ukrainian sailors to stand before trial at Moscow court on January 15

On January, 15 Lefortovo court will hold a hearing on the extension of sentence term for the Ukrainian POWs detained in Kerch Strait earlier in November, as Ukraine’s Ombudswoman Lyudmyla Denisova reported on Facebook.

“Our guys were distributed into six groups for the consideration of the case, four people in each. First three will be considered since 9:30 am. We are looking forward to seeing our sailors,” Denisova wrote.

She noted that she arrived in the court along with the relatives of the detained sailors, they would try to get inside.

As it was reported, Russian Security Service asked to hold a hearing on the case of the Ukrainian POWs in camera.
