Ukrainian border guards in Kharkiv region detained an Azerbaijani who is on the international wanted list for fraud. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

"Last night, an Azerbaijani citizen of 1976 year of borth, who was traveling to Russia, arrived at the Hoptivka checkpoint. When checking his documents, law enforcers found out that the man was on the international wanted list for fraud. The duty officer of the Interpol office in Kyiv was informed about this. The man was taken by the National Police officers, "the report said.

The department added that from the beginning of 2018, the State Border Guard Service officers, through the Interpol database, found 54 violators of international law.

As it was reported earlier the workers of the Ukrainian Bureau of the Interpol and Europol in Kyiv headed the criminal group, kidnapped a man and stole his money. According to the information, the group of people kidnapped a citizen of Kyiv in March 2017. They handcuffed him, beaten him up and take him to the forest where the forced the man to give all money, more than 3 700 dollars.

The Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv finished the investigation against the worker of the Interpol involved in the kidnapping of a person and robbery.
