Austria and Germany will help Ukraine create forest cadaster. This was announced by the Head of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine Khrysyna Yushkevich in her interview for Gazeta Ua.

Ukraine has recently signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Republic of Austria, which will allow implementing investment projects in Ukraine in the near future related to forest protection and funding, according to Khrystyna Yushkevych.

"Thanks to this this memorandum we are actively working to start a large-scale tripartite international project together with Austria and Germany, which will be implemented in Ukraine. It will be aimed in particular to implement a full public accounting of forests and management of the state forest cadaster," says Khrystyna Yushkevich.

As mentioned earlier, accounting of all forests of Ukraine was held only in 1996. Due to the possible project realization, the Forest Agency can effectively organize forest protection, rational use of forests of Ukraine, their restoration, and systematically monitor qualitative and quantitative changes in forests.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine imposed restrictions on the import of poultry from Austria and two German regions. The bird flu was recorded in Austria and some parts of Germany.
