Attacked Konotop ex-Mayor to be taken to neurosurgery institute

Ex-Mayor of Konotop and parliamentary candidate Artem Semenikhin will be transported to Kyiv Neurosurgery Institute. The head of Healthcare Department of Sumy region Serhiy Butenko announced this, as Debaty Sumy agency reported.

According to Butenko, Artem Semenikhin who was attacked late at night on June 27, is now in serious condition. At first, the doctors were planning to transfer Semenikhin to the regional hospital, but later changed their mind.

“After he was beaten, Artem Semenikhin was in Konotop distict hospital. His condition was assessed as serious. Doctors considered transferring him to the regional hospital, but later it was decided to move him to Kyiv Neurosurgery Institute named after Romodanov,” Butenko said.

Butenko also noted that reanimobile in which Semenikhin will be transported, has all the necessary equipment.

As it was reported earlier, parliamentary candidate Semenikhin was beaten in Sumy region. It is known that Artem Semenikhin filed documents to Central Election Commission as self-nominated candidate in a single-mandate constituency №160.

Law enforcers opened a criminal case on attempted murder. 

The doctors diagnosed brain injury.
