Chairman of the Board of Ukreximbank Yevhen Metzger resigned for the time of the investigation into the attack on the journalists of the 'Schemes' program. The statement was published on the website of the financial institution.
“The situation around the bank is unacceptable. My overly emotional reaction and unrestrained behavior towards journalists have no justification. I am fully aware of my responsibility. In order to lift at least some of the damage to the bank's reputation and divert the negativity from its wonderful team, I am immediately writing a letter of resignation from office of Charimen of the Board during the necessary investigative actions of the National Police and an internal inspection in the bank," Metzger said in a statement.
Earlier, the Office of the President supported the suspension or dismissal of Yevhen Metzger from the position of Chairman of the Board of Ukreximbankdue to the attack on 'Schemes' journalists.
