Attack at reporters in Kyiv: name of possible organizer revealed

Possible organizer of the attack at the reporters in Holosiivsky district of Kyiv is native-born of Luhansk Mykhailo Bogdad, who was prosecuted many times as 112 Ukraine reported citing journalist and coordinator of “Stop corruption” Roman Bochkala.

Now, the suspect is taken to the police station for the identification parade. The victims are waiting for him there.

“Now I know that the organizer of the attack is detained; his name Mykhailo Bogdad, a native-born of Luhansk, who was prosecuted many times. Now, he is taken to Holosiivsky police station for the identification parade. The victims are waiting for him there, I think, they will recognize him as they pointed at him from the very beginning,” Bochkala claimed.

The journalist specified that there 15 attackers, four of them were identified.

“Some of them were in balaclavas, so it is very hard to recognize them but the investigation already has particular operative sources to which grouping these people belong,” he added.

The attack at the journalists took place at Vydubychy on January 24. The reporters of the film crew of “Stop corruption” came to the place, where the sand is stolen.

The unknown crashed the car of the reports of “Stop corruption” project, used the gas cartridges, beat one of the reporters and stole a handbag with money. A victim, who was hospitalized, has cranio-cerebral trauma and burn of eye mucosa.

Later the police reported that it has taken nine suspects to the police station. All of the suspects called themselves guards. The police officers found the mobile phones of the attackers, axe, gas cartridge, two knifes, three traumatic pistols, hunting carbine, starter pistol and cartridges.

The actions of the perpetrators qualified as “robbery”.

Earlier we reported that 86 cases of the use of the force against the journalists were spotted in Ukraine in 2018.

Besides, 94 journalists and media workers were killed while on duty in the world in 2018 and it is more for 12 persons than in 2017.
