Today, September 10, at around 10 am, the police at enhanced the security measures Krakovets checkpoint, as Ihor Zinckevych, head of Varta 1 informed on Facebook.
“At 10:10 am the police created a barrier of police officers between those against letting Saakashvili enter the country, and those for it,” Ihor Zinckevych wrote.
According to ZAXID.NET, there are around 100 camouflaged men at the chekpoint.
According to Hromadske, there are about 200 cars at the checkpoint.
As it was reported earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the decree stripping Saakasvhili off the Ukrainian citizenship. Anton Herashchenko, the Counselor to Interior Minister of Ukraine said that the government learned certain previously unknown facts from Georgia’s Prosecutor General’s Office; as of the time when Saakashvili was granted Ukrainian citizenship, Ukrainian authorities were unaware of that information.
Saakashvili claimed he would return to Ukraine on September 10, through Krakovets checkpoint.
